In the Ear (ITE)

ITE hearing aids are custom-molded to fit the shape of the outer ear. They are larger than completely-in-the-canal (CIC) or invisible-in-the-canal (IIC) styles but are more visible compared to those smaller options.

Placement:

ITE hearing aids fill the bowl-shaped area of the outer ear and may extend into the ear canal. The design is more noticeable than completely-in-the-canal styles but offers more space for features and controls.

Customization

Each ITE hearing aid is individually crafted based on an impression of the user's outer ear, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.

Advantages:

Ease of Handling: ITE hearing aids are generally easier to handle compared to smaller, more discreet styles.

User Controls:The larger size allows for the inclusion of user controls, such as volume adjustments and program switches.

Suitable for a Range of Hearing Losses: ITE hearing aids can accommodate a range of hearing losses, from mild to severe.

Features:

ITE hearing aids can include various features, depending on the model and manufacturer. Features may include directional microphones, telecoil (for use with hearing loop systems), wireless connectivity, and advanced signal processing.
